Our Commitments
Riding teaches us to protect our playgrounds, by rethinking the way we consume and by caring more about our planet.
Since day one, the Saint Jacques team has been aware of the impact neoprene has on the natural environment. We looked for a way to bring production back home, without success so far. As a trade-off, we keep as many steps as possible in our own offices in Montpellier, and we work with local partners. That covers research and development, design, testing, communication, after-sales support and more.
Since 2016, Saint Jacques has built the environment into its company strategy and keeps looking for the best solutions. We're not perfect, but we want to improve our footprint.
BIO-BASED FOAM WETSUITS
With the Clovis Bio 2027 edition, we use a bio-based foam made from natural rubber, oyster shells, vegetable oils and tea stalks. Certified as a USDA Certified Biobased Product, this foam relies less on petrochemical and mineral resources than conventional neoprene, without giving up any stretch, warmth or durability. We explain in detail what it contains — and what it isn't.
NEOCYCLE UP-CYCLING PROJECT
Started in 2020, this project focuses on the end-of-life stage of neoprene gear. Our goal: turn unusable wetsuits into new products such as laptop sleeves, to extend the life of neoprene and fight the waste of raw materials.
So take part and get 15% off your new wetsuit!

CHOOSING OUR MATERIALS
OEKO-TEX® CERTIFIED COTTON PONCHOS
Standard 100 is one of the technical standards of the Oeko-Tex label. It certifies that a textile product contains no harmful substances. We pay close attention to the quality of our ponchos and are committed to offering more and more textile products that respect your skin and your health.
Our ponchos come in reusable, recyclable polypropylene canvas bags.
LIMESTONE NEOPRENE
Outside our bio-based range, Saint Jacques wetsuits are made from limestone neoprene. This neoprene is based on calcium carbonate from limestone. With one of the lowest carbon footprints available, it's less harmful to the environment while staying stretchy, soft and comfortable to wear.
