Technology
Our neoprene wetsuits are designed in France for surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling, SUP and more — whatever the conditions.
Every detail is carefully developed to combine technical performance, French style and durability. Here is a complete guide to our premium materials and finishes.
Premium materials for high-performance wetsuits
At Saint Jacques, we work with three different thermal insulators, chosen for their warmth, comfort and flexibility, so every rider can find the right balance between performance, versatility and eco-responsibility.
Yamamoto Limestone Neoprene: performance & lightness
This premium Japanese neoprene features a uniform closed-cell structure, delivering superior warmth, stretch and lightness. The gold standard for demanding watermen and women.
BIO II™: eco-friendly neoprene-free alternative
Made from renewable resources (sugar cane, oyster shells, hevea and non-edible vegetable oils), BIO II™ is 100% neoprene-free. It delivers excellent flexibility, warmth and durability, while reducing environmental impact.
Limestone Superstretch: versatility & comfort
Made from limestone, this neoprene offers the best mix of stretch, lightness and durability. It’s ideal for regular use, featured in our neoprene tops and some back zip wetsuits.

Technical finishes for warmth, durability & comfort
GBS seams (glued & blindstitched)
All our fullsuits are assembled with glued and blindstitched seams. This technique reduces water entry while keeping maximum flexibility and durability.
Taped seams
Stretch tape is added inside to increase durability and waterproofness. Found on all our fullsuits except the BIO II™ collection.
Quick Dry thermal lining
Our warm inner lining offers faster drying time, extra softness and heat retention. Depending on the model, it covers the chest down to the knees or ankles.
Water drain system
Exclusive ankle drain panels release trapped water and prevent discomfort. Perfect for kitesurfing, windsurfing and wingfoiling.
Other technical details
- Ankle cuff system: inspired by joggers for comfort and water-blocking effect.
- Key loop or pocket: keep your car or locker key safe.
- Strategic reinforcement patches: extend wetsuit lifespan in stress zones.
- Silicone wrist seals: block water entry without restricting movement.
- Knee pads: lightweight, flexible and protective — great for SUP or wing sessions.
Wetsuit zip systems: choose the right closure
Chest Zip
Preferred by performance riders, Chest Zip provides better stretch and reduced water entry. The choice for surfers who paddle a lot.
Front Zip
A fully opening chest zip, available on our BIO II wetsuits and some Yamamoto models. Easier to put on, while remaining flexible and watertight.
Back Zip
YKK back zip with reinforced panel. Easy entry and exit, ideal for beginners or casual riders. Internal flap limits water flushing.
